Hello Parents,
I wanted to touch base briefly in regards to my homework policy. I discussed with your children that they only need to spend 30 minutes on math homework each night. Once they reach 30 minutes, you simply sign off the top of the page and they will receive full credit. Please keep in mind that the 30 minutes should be ‘on-task’ time. This policy is designed to keep students from reaching frustration levels in math. I will review all homework the following day to ensure that any difficulties encountered on homework are addressed. This policy has also been discussed in length in class, so your child should be able to fill you in completely on the details of the 30 minute rule. I know some parents may believe this rule to be made up by the “Math Fairy” but, no it is the legitimate rule, promise:)
This will be addressed once more at Curriculum night..
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Warm Regards,
Mr. Zgonc
